Researchers May Have Found Cure to Mesothelioma

Medical researchers in Italy have identified a protein enzyme that enables the growth of mesothelioma, a malignant cancer caused by asbestos exposure. As described in the medical journal, Lung Cancer, researches explained that the gene therapy targets a family of enzymes known as Aurora kinases, retarding the growth of mesothelioma cells and making the cancer cells more responsive to radiation treatment.
