67% of Dallas Built with Asbestos?

Have you spoken with your doctor about your risk to asbestos and mesothelioma?  You should.  According to figures compiled by the Environmental Working Group, Dallas County is #39 on its list of nationwide counties most affected by asbestos-related diseases. The reason is as simple as it is terrifying: much of Dallas was built during the latter part of the 20^th century.  That’s the same time that asbestos was most used as a building material.  Some researchers estimate that as many as 325,000 buildings—67 percent of Dallas—were built during the years in which asbestos was an essential building material.
